Below, we take a look at our top tips when it comes to trying to make cleaning a little easier for your home.
One Room At A Time – If your home has 5 rooms, you can easily clean one or two rooms a day rather than tackling them all in one go. If you can do this then you can move things from one room to another, instead of trying to clean around things because you are trying to do everything at once. check it out
Clean Regularly – Rather than just spending one day cleaning the whole house, it can sometimes be more effective to clean regularly, splitting the tasks up but doing them more often. If you can keep on top of things then you can pretty much make your cleaning routine an ongoing one, rather than just saving it up and having to spend many back to back hours cleaning your house.
Keep A Schedule – By keeping a schedule, you can really start to get a routine going and make sure you achieve all of your tasks that you set out to complete. There is nothing better than seeing a list of things you need to do with a few ticks by them and you can even make this into a regular weekly schedule which will make your life so much easier and will probably help to keep you motivated to achieve those mundane cleaning tasks.
Put Things Away – Before you start with the polishing, dusting and vacuuming, you normally spend ages just putting things away. If you put things away after you have used them, then you can end up saving a lot of your “cleaning” time and just more straight into the hard work. Clutter causes homes to look messy and even more in need of a clean than when things are put away, so if you can keep things in their place then you will end up saving time in the future.
Use Decent Equipment – An old vacuum cleaner that is on its death bed will take you much longer to clean a carpet than a newer one. Even though money is always a consideration, continually using something that is just not effective will mean that everything takes twice as long, so this is something that should be considered when cleaning.
Encourage The Family – It’s not just you who should be cleaning, so make sure everyone around your household pulls their weight and joins in with the cleaning schedule. You should encourage young children to tidy things away from the age that they can really understand and also make sure that older children also have tasks to do around the house as well.
